Carl H. Sprenger

	Carl H. Sprenger, age 69, of Pinckneyville, died Sunday, December 2, 2001 in his home.
	Carl was born February 20, 1932 in DuQuoin, the son of Frank F. and Gladys E. (Gerdes) Sprenger.  He married Jeannette Ann Templeton on August 20, 1955 at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, and she preceded him in death on November 23, 2001.  He was a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict, a coal miner at Consolidated Coal Company Burning Star #2 Mine, a member of the UMWA, enjoyed gardening, crafting and working with his hands.
	He is survived by a son, Tim and wife Jamie of St. Louis, Mo.; daughter, Melissa Sprenger of Nashville, Tenn. and a brother, Gary and wife Joyce of Pinckneyville.
	Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the First United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Hobson officiating.  Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the First United Presbyterian Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
	Memorials may be made to the First Untied Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetes Association.
	The Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, was in charge of arrangements.
